What’s in this easy pineapple fluff recipe?
This recipe has a pretty short ingredient list! There’s just 3 simple ingredients in this easy recipe.

- Cool Whip: You can use any kind of frozen whipped topping for this — lite, reduced fat, sugar free, regular, or extra creamy. Just make sure to thaw your Cool Whip before using!
- Vanilla Pudding Mix: You need one 3.4 oz box of vanilla instant pudding mix. Don’t prep the pudding — you’re just using the mix! You can also use sugar free pudding mix to save on calories.
- Crushed Pineapple: This recipe uses one 20 oz can of crushed pineapple. You can also make crushed pineapple from fresh pineapple or canned chunks.
Making 3 ingredient pineapple fluff
Step 1 | Prep
Before you make your fluff, make sure to thaw your Cool Whip. If you forget to set it out earlier, you can thaw it quickly in the microwave by using defrost mode in 30 second bursts. Make sure to stir in between each burst to make sure the whole thing thaws!
The other prep step is to drain your crushed pineapple. The extra juice makes the fluff soupy, so be sure to drain your pineapple first.
Step 2 | Combine
In a large bowl, combine the Cool Whip, pudding mix, and drained pineapple. Use a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to fold the combination until everything completely incorporated.
And that’s it. Now you have pineapple fluff!

Step 3 | Enjoy!
Top this with some coconut cream, shredded coconut, and maraschino cherries for a perfectly creamy dessert, a low-calorie snack, or the perfect side dish for a party or potluck. A bowlful of fluff is a delightful dessert for Easter and Mother’s Day, or put some on top of a slice of angel food cake to level up!
