3-Ingredient Fresh Peach Sorbet (No Ice Cream Maker!)

| |

Fresh peaches become a refreshingly simple dessert in this super easy homemade peach sorbet recipe. You can make this at home with just 3 ingredients and no ice cream maker!

If you’re looking for the perfect summer treat, have i got you covered! While this 3-ingredient sorbet is simple, the flavor is anything but. With the sun-soaked sweetness of ripe summer peaches, this sorbet is light, bright, easy to make, and impressive to serve.

Sorbet is one of the earliest frozen desserts out there, and it’s stood the test of time for a reason. Unlike peach ice cream, which can mask the tartness of the peach flavor, this sorbet captures that peachy goodness without a ton of extras. It’s exactly what you need on hot summer days.

What’s in 3-ingredient peach sorbet?

Just a few simple ingredients, actually. You probably have them sitting around right now!

Ingredients for peach sorbet
  • Peaches: While this recipe tastes absolutely divine when you use fresh juicy peaches, you can get your fix with frozen peaches too!
  • Lemon Juice: I prefer fresh lemon juice, but you can also use the bottled stuff. This is mainly here to keep the peaches from browning in the freezer, and to add a little brightness to the flavor! You can sub this with lime juice as another option.
  • White Sugar: Not only does granulated sugar help that sweet tooth, but it also combats ice crystal formation. In short, it helps create that creamy texture that is the best thing about sorbet!

Making homemade peach sorbet

Step 1 | Pit and Chop

Start by pitting your peaches. If you’re using frozen fruit, you can skip this step entirely. You can also chop them into more large chunks to help your blender/food processor out in the next step.

Step 2 | Blend

Take your prepped fresh fruit and put it in the blender or food processor with the lemon juice and sugar. Blend the heck out of your peaches — you want everything completely liquified.

Now, I leave the peach skins on even though my blender isn’t strong enough to get rid of them completely. I like the flecks of color in my finished sorbet. If you don’t, you have a few options: you can get a heavy-duty blender that will liquify peach skin, you can skin the peaches before you put them in the blender, or you can press your peach sorbet through a fine sieve before freezing.

Step 3 | Freeze

Next, pour your delicious sorbet into a loaf pan or another freezer-safe container. Press plastic wrap into the top of the sorbet (this helps prevent ice crystals from forming). Then, place your sorbet in the freezer to freeze for 4-6 hours.

Step 4 | Enjoy!

Once your delicious sorbet has frozen hard, you can scoop and serve! This tastes incredible on it’s own with that taste of ripe peaches, but you can also serve it with toppings like nuts, a drizzle of honey, or even some whipped cream. We love to serve it in small bowls with mint garnish and a shortbread cookie tucked into the side. It looks so fancy!

Variations

You can use this incredibly versatile recipe to make a ton of different fruit sorbets. The general process remains the same, just sub the peaches for other fruit. Here are some favorites:

  • Strawberry Sorbet
  • Orange Sorbet: With this one, you can use 2 cups of orange juice in place of the peaches and omit the lemon juice,
  • Plum Sorbet
  • Raspberry Sorbet
  • Mango Sorbet

Yes! Just pour the sorbet mixture into popsicle molds before freezing, and you’ll have delicious peach popsicles.
