What’s in 2-ingredient banana bread?

- Overripe Bananas: The riper your bananas, the sweeter your banana bread will be. I like mine almost brown, but anything with brown spots will do!
- Yellow Cake Mix: You can use any cake mix for this. Spice cake, white, vanilla, and butter pecan are all great too.
Making easy banana bread

Your bread will bake for about 45 minutes, or until it passes the toothpick test ( a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean).

Mix-In Ideas
This recipe is pretty bare bones — a very simple banana bread (or loaf-shaped banana cake) base. You can add tons of different mix-ins to make it fancier!
- Nuts: Banana nut bread is a classic! Walnuts, pecans, or even almonds are great in this recipe.
- Chips: Chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, cinnamon chips — they’re all fantastic in here! I love semi-sweet chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips for the depth of flavor they add.
- Spice and Extracts: You can add a teaspoon full of butter flavoring, almond extract, or vanilla extract. A pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice would also compliment the flavors perfectly!
