Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sour cream, and butter or margarine. Mix until it creates a shaggy dough.
  • Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead until it forms a smooth dough.
  • Roll dough to 1/2" and cut into circles. Place circles on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake biscuits for 10-12 minutes at 400°. Biscuits are done when the tops are golden brown.
  • As an optional final step, you can brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.
